About
China McNeal founded AMNI and runs its Chicago location at 674 North Dearborn Street, where she has been styling hair for more than three decades. Her practice centers on repairing textured hair, including scalps damaged by tension and chemical treatments, along with thinning hairlines and curls that no longer hold their shape.
Her credits include backstage styling work on The Steve Harvey Show and on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. She is recognized for a signature hair extensions technique, and she has shared it as an industry educator at America's Beauty Show.
McNeal created the AMNI Method, a haircare routine built on five steps, and has trained more than 120 stylists in it. The AMNI brand launched in 2026 to bring her restoration approach into products for home use. She received a Fresha Highly Recommended award in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
