About

Chelsea Troiano, MD, founded Troiano Facial Plastics in West Palm Beach, where she owns the practice and works as a facial plastic surgeon. The practice says she has six years of focused training in surgical facial rejuvenation. She is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and belongs to the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Florida Society of Otolaryngology, Alpha Omega Alpha and the New England Otolaryngology Society. Her medical degree is from the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she graduated with honors. Earlier she earned a bachelor of arts in chemistry from Indiana University with honors and a liberal arts and management degree from the Kelley School of Business. She was chief resident in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Boston University Medical Center, trained onsite with Dr. Edward Farrior, and completed a facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship in Tampa under Edward H. Farrior, MD, at Farrior Facial Plastic Surgery. Further training includes facial feminization under Dr. Jeffrey H. Spiegel, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery work at the University of South Florida with Tampa General Hospital, and a microsurgery externship at Stanford University with The Buncke Clinic in San Francisco. Her practice concentrates on facial feminization, facial rejuvenation, facial feature optimization and the deep plane facelift, with attention to the face and neck and to preventing visible aging in men and women. As a resident she won a CORE grant to examine how e-cigarettes affect wound healing; the work was published in the American Medical Association Journal of Facial Plastic Surgery, and she was later invited to present it at an international facial plastic surgery symposium. Awards include top score in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery on the Boston University in-service exam (2018-2019), the Greatest Scientific Contribution in Resident Research award (2018-2019), the AAFPRS Leslie Bernstein Resident Research Grant (2017-2018), the Triological Combined Sections Meeting Award (2016) and the IU Foundation Scholarship for Overseas Study (2008). The salon describes her as the premier female plastic surgeon in the West Palm Beach area. Consultations begin with listening and a review of medical history, followed by a personalized plan built around the patient's goals, facial anatomy and how their muscles work. Treatments such as Kybella are shaped to each patient's facial contour, vascularity is considered to lower bruising risk with Botox, and dissolving migrated or poorly placed filler may be recommended. She has also corrected lip fillers placed by other providers using a filler dissolver.

Approach
The aim is results that refine each patient's own features and overall facial harmony, following a less-is-more approach.
