Chad Keast

Chad Keast is the master stylist at Chad Keast Hair. His career began in 1998, and he spent the first five years in the Aveda network cutting and styling hair at a large international group of Aveda Concept Salons, the largest chain of its kind. Color became his focus in 2004. Between 2004 and 2010 he studied advanced hair coloring in Madrid, Barcelona, Toronto, Berlin, New York, Miami, Los Angeles and San Diego. In 2011 he joined the master stylist team at Horst & Friends Salon in Minneapolis. Until Horst M. Rechelbacher died in 2014, he assisted him with photo shoots, on-stage education and regular haircuts. Since 2011 he has also worked as a salon ambassador and educator for Intelligent Nutrients, teaching salons, press and retail specialists about its product lines. In 2012 he was chosen as the brand's master stylist representative at the Cosmoprof hair convention in Bologna, Italy. Both his digital photography course at Minneapolis Community and Technical College and his studio lighting and photo editing course at the Minneapolis Center for Photography began in 2013. Since 2017 he has volunteered and donated hair services at the Blythe Brenden-Mann Foundation Wellness Center at University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. With clients, he works toward looks that fit their lifestyle, drawing on fashion, film, travel and art, and he serves clients in Oak Park and St. Paul.
