About

Catharine Crawford serves as Medical Director of Prosilience Studio in Arlington, Massachusetts, where she directs the practice and personally directs every treatment plan. She also keeps up general surgery alongside her aesthetic work, and her special interests are minimally invasive surgery and breast surgery. She holds leadership positions at Valley Regional Hospital, where she has been Chief of Surgery since 2023, and at the Cambridge Health Alliance. Her career began in 1997 as a research assistant in surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She then worked as a general and breast surgeon at several practices between 2009 and 2021, and was an instructor in surgery at Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Dental Medicine from 2013 to 2021. At Cambridge Health Alliance she directed the Transitional Residency Program, led surgical OR simulation, and co-directed the Breast Center Conference. She has been a general surgeon at Valley Regional Hospital since December 2022 and has worked as a locums physician through All-Star Recruiting since 2023. She has nearly two decades of experience across teaching, surgery, specialty treatments, academic work and leadership. She performs injectable treatments herself, and her background in anatomy and surgical precision carries over to injectables and threads. At the studio she performs IPL PhotoFacial and Morpheus8 treatments and supervises chemical peels, and she can perform a liquid facelift that combines injectables and dermal fillers. Each IPL PhotoFacial session is adjusted to the patient's skin type and concerns. Consultations with her or a certified injector cover medical history, goals and expectations.

Approach
She builds a customized plan for each client, favors conservative dosing and natural-looking results, and will recommend a different treatment when another option would serve a client better.
