About
Carol Kaufman founded Sugar and Skin Spa in June 2018 and also owns Sugar and Skin Spa & LEI, CME. Before opening the business, she spent two decades as a corpsman in the United States Navy, working as a neurology technician and as an aviation medical technician. After leaving the service in 2004, she spent 16 years in Hampton Roads as a medical assistant and skin care specialist at a local dermatology practice. She is a licensed esthetician and a certified medical assistant. Her esthetics training was at Chrysm Esthetics School in Virginia Beach, where she graduated as a professional esthetician in May 2018.
