Carissa Lopez-Barbaro

Carissa Lopez-Barbaro is an independent, licensed esthetician working out of Pod Spa & Wellness in Long Beach, where she operates Eternal Glow by Carissa. She has held a NYS esthetician license since 2013. Her schooling covered ingredient safety and how products are formulated.

Her additional credentials include Certified Acne Specialist and Master Holistic Skin Specialist (advanced) certifications, along with a group fitness instructor certification. Her acne protocols target hormonal acne, cystic breakouts, post-acne hyperpigmentation and congestion.

Lift & Sculpt facial massage is her main focus. Using face mapping, she looks at how stress, hormones, sleep and daily habits relate to a client's skin concerns.

She came to skin care after a dance career that began when she joined the Radio City Rockettes at 18. Over the next fifteen years she performed on Broadway tours, on European stages, at the 1996 Olympic Opening Ceremonies and at NFL events. She still teaches fitness.
