C.B. Boswell, MD, FACS

Boswell is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a founding partner at BodyAesthetic. He moved to St. Louis in 1995 to start his training. He completed a general surgery residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University, from 1995 to 1999, then a plastic surgery residency there from 1999 to 2001, serving as executive chief resident in his final year. Before that, he earned a medical degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an undergraduate biology degree at Southern Methodist University, with a semester spent at Oxford University.

In 2001 he did a plastic surgery fellowship in San Francisco focused on facelifts and facial rejuvenation, working with Dr. John Owsley. In 2002 he completed a plastic surgery and oculoplastic fellowship at Paces Plastic Surgery in Atlanta. He was board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2003 and recertified in 2013, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been part of the Botox Cosmetic National Educational Faculty and has worked as a speaker and trainer for Allergan Medical Facial Aesthetics since 2005. He led the St. Louis Area Plastic Surgery Society from 2007 to 2011 and the Missouri Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons in 2010 and 2011. He publishes research, lectures nationally on topics including injectable fillers and silicone breast implants, and teaches surgical techniques to surgeons across the country. RealSelf named him a Top Doctor in 2015. St. Louis Magazine has included him among its St. Louis Best Doctors every year since 2007. He received the ASAPS Award of Excellence for Best Journal Article Published in 2004.

His practice spans breast, body and facial cosmetic procedures. He specializes in body contouring after massive weight loss, including Mommy Makeovers, and in breast reduction that leaves fewer scars than was typical a few years ago. On the face, he offers endoscopic brow lifts, blepharoplasty, deep plane and mini facelifts, cheek and midface lifts, facial resurfacing and eyelid reconstruction. He performs all Botox and filler injections at the practice.
