Bryan Chen, MD

Bryan Chen, MD has been practicing dermatology in San Diego since 2006. He holds board certification in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery, and he is a former president of the San Diego Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Chen earned a summa cum laude degree from Berkeley in English and Neurobiology, followed by a medical degree from the UC San Diego School of Medicine. Afterward he spent a year in pediatrics at UC Davis and took a clinical research fellowship in dermatology at UC San Francisco. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of California, San Diego, where he was chief resident. His clinical interests cover medical dermatology, skin cancer surgery and reconstruction, cosmetic dermatology, and pediatric dermatology. Chen previously taught dermatology residents as a clinical instructor at UCSD and has published many research articles and book chapters. He is a member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Academy of Dermatology.
