Bruce Hermann

Bruce Hermann is a plastic surgeon with an MD who is board-certified and certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He returned to Denton to practice in his home community and founded his practice there. He serves as Director of the Wound Center at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton and hosts the Nip Talk podcast, which covers plastic surgery topics. He studied at Baylor University on an academic scholarship. His surgical training included a general and trauma surgery residency at the University of Louisville, then a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga with craniofacial surgeon Larry A. Sargent. He also completed a cosmetic breast and body surgery fellowship with Dennis C. Hammond, where he learned the BodyLogic system. He has more than a decade in private practice. Breast surgery is his main specialty, covering breast augmentation and breast lift. Body contouring is a particular focus, including liposuction, tummy tucks, abdominoplasty, combined body contouring and BodyTite. He also performs arm lifts, thigh lifts and FaceTite procedures. He has special training in hand surgery and treats hand fractures, mostly as outpatient surgery at the Emergency Department of Presbyterian Hospital Denton. Nurses assist him, but he carries out every step of cosmetic surgery personally, from incision through closure. For breast procedures he relies on detailed measurements and visual planning, and he applies the techniques he learned from Dennis C. Hammond. At the start of treatment planning he walks patients through their options and may suggest liposuction, a tummy tuck or a combined approach for BodyTite candidates when those better fit their goals. He gives detailed pre- and post-surgical instructions and education on scar treatment, works slowly and deliberately, and watches recovery closely, including BodyTite recovery at the Denton office.
