About
Brook owns The Green Room and works as a hair stylist and advanced makeup artist in Saint Paul. Hair services include custom color, personalized cuts, blonding, men's hair and blowouts. Makeup work covers bridal and special occasion looks, lessons, transgender makeup and theatrical makeup. The rate is $110 an hour.
Education includes a BFA in Design/Technical Theatre with an emphasis in Costume and Makeup Design from the University of Minnesota Duluth, completed in 2002, and the cosmetology program at Aveda Institute Minneapolis, completed in 2004. Further training has come through cutting and styling classes taught by independent social media influencers and through courses from Davines, Schwarzkopf, Bumble and bumble, Aveda and Oribe. Continuing education classes are taken regularly.
Earlier work included building costumes for professional entertainment and theatre productions, plus five years in management at MAC Cosmetics.
