Briana M. Cress

Briana M. Cress owns Gorgeous Looks Salon, where she works as master stylist. She holds licenses as a stylist and as a beautician. She became certified as a Trichologist in January and is also a Board Certified Holistic Hair Loss Practitioner. Her focus is holistic hair loss, particularly care suited to textured hair. For each client, she maps out a recovery plan for hair and scalp, with the goal of supporting healthy regrowth. She is also a certified Myavana AI Hair Professional. Her styling work has covered seminars, fashion shows, news anchors, theater, celebrities, bridal, and print features. Public figures, productions and publications have turned to her as a hair expert. She held key production roles for The Minnesota Grand Hair Showcase and has worked on the production team for The Twin Cities Hair & Beauty Expo, formerly the Twin Cities Natural Hair & Beauty Expo, since 2019. She was featured in Volume 3 of the Fearless Commerce Table Book, which profiles Black women entrepreneurs across the Twin Cities, and completed the 2022 Women Elevating Women cohort. She sits on the board of the Beauty Certified Education Association.
