About
Brian K. Machida, MD, FACS, started STC Plastic Surgery in Ontario, California, where he practices as a facial plastic surgeon. He limits his practice to the face and neck. His specialties include the deep plane face and neck lift and eyelid restoration, and he also performs upper and lower blepharoplasty and facelift procedures. He treats both men and women. He believes facial plastic surgery can help a person look like their best self again. He earned a bachelor's degree summa cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley, between 1974 and 1978, and an MD from the University of Southern California School of Medicine between 1979 and 1983. He trained in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center, then completed a facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the USC School of Medicine from 1988 to 1989. He later took additional facial plastic surgery training at the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Beverly Hills. He spent about ten years on the USC School of Medicine faculty, reaching clinical associate professor in the Department of Otolaryngology. He holds certification from two boards, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology, and is licensed to practice medicine in California. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the International College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He has practiced medicine for almost 30 years and has performed over 10,000 facial aesthetic and functional procedures, including nasal and ear surgery. He has additional training in the deep plane facelift and often combines it with fractional laser resurfacing or dermal fillers. At consultation, he evaluates facial features and reviews medical history to plan treatment. He received the John Orlando Roe Award from the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, is listed in the Guide to America's Top Physicians, was featured in the Top Doctors of the Inland Empire edition of Inland Empire Magazine, and received the Castle Connolly Top Doctor award in 2019.
