Brian D. Haas

Brian D. Haas, MD, F.A.C.S., practices ophthalmology at Boutique Eye Orlando. His surgical work centers on cataract procedures, including laser-assisted methods, and on cosmetic and oculoplastic eyelid surgery, where he pioneered small-incision techniques. Beyond surgery, he diagnoses and treats eye disease, carries out cataract and glaucoma evaluations and treatments, and treats dry eye conditions.

He served six years in the United States Navy, training dozens of resident surgeons in oculoplastic and cataract techniques. He has also worked as a consultant ophthalmologist for the US Naval Academy, Quantico Marine Base, Dover Air Force Base, the Supreme Court and Congress. Academic posts include faculty roles at Bethesda Naval Hospital and the USF Medical School in Tampa, an Associate Clinical Professor appointment at UCF Medical School in Orlando, and the chairmanship of ophthalmology at Orlando Health from 1999 to 2009. Over the last two decades he has taught and provided patient care in Argentina, Cuba, Colombia, Italy, Ukraine, India, Cambodia, Egypt, Spain and Switzerland.

He has more than 30 years of experience injecting Botox and has treated over 20,000 patients with it, and he was the first surgeon in Orlando to inject Restylane. US News and World Report named him one of the country's top ophthalmologists in 2012, and Orlando Magazine chose him Best Ophthalmologist in the Orlando area for six consecutive years.
