About
Branden Melear is a Chicago-based professional makeup artist with 15 years in the field. Luxury bridal makeup is his main focus. On screen, he has worked on VH1, WGN Chicago, Steve Harvey, The Pretender and Chicago Fire/PD, where he served as an on-call assistant and as key artist. His runway work includes Chicago Fashion Week in 2014, three New York Fashion Week seasons alongside OCC and MAC, and Ballroom Showcase 2019. He has also done a small amount of special effects makeup for theatre and for Halloween and haunted events. He is credited in print and online publications including Chicago Social, Rebel Magazine, Pretty Quick Frame Magazine, and the Wedding Day titles and Model Modele Chicago Bridal. Among his musical and celebrity clients are Jennifer Hudson and Queen Latifah. He previously spent 4.5 years at MAC Cosmetics.
