About
Bita Badakhshan, MD, is a physician at OC Functional Medical Center in San Clemente, where patients know her as Dr. Bita. She is board-certified and trained in integrative and functional medicine alongside conventional medicine. She did undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine, graduate medical school at St. George, and a family medicine residency at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. She trained under the mentorship of Dr. Leigh Erin Connealy and is a member of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine.
Her experience covers primary care, urgent care, preventive care and aesthetic procedures. After a brief period working in the New York City area, she returned to Southern California in 2011 to take positions at Woodbury Medical Group, Sand Canyon Urgent Care and Kaiser Permanente in Orange County. She later spent ten years with the Center For New Medicine and the Cancer Center For Healing. She is also a certified personal trainer and the author of Why Am I So Tired?, a book on the top seven causes of chronic fatigue.
She works on cancer prevention and integrative cancer treatments, and on improving immune system function to help prevent chronic disease. She has a particular interest in nutrition. She provides bioidentical hormone therapy for perimenopause, menopause, thyroid and adrenal concerns, and testosterone therapy for men, with morning blood tests used to confirm low testosterone. She is highly experienced in IV therapies, an experienced provider of EBO2 ozone therapy, and specializes in integrative treatments including Salicinium IV therapy.
