Betty Román

Betty Román is the owner and a licensed esthetician at Roman Skin & Body Care, and she opened Cary's day spa in 1991. She has practiced as an esthetician for thirty years and has owned the spa for twenty-five.

Her training began at a private skin care institute in the Washington, D.C. area and continued in Paris, France, an experience that shaped her approach to skin care. She holds the international CIDESCO Diploma.

Beyond the treatment room, she co-founded the North Carolina Esthetician Association to pursue licensing and raise industry standards, and she has served as its spokesperson. She has also worked with the State Board of Cosmetic Art as a continuing education instructor, examiner and curriculum developer, teaches aspiring estheticians at the spa, and has written numerous skin care articles and a monthly blog. In 2008 she wrote the book Spa Girl. She works with women, men and teens who want healthy, attractive skin.
