About
Basil is the owner and artistic director of NY Jungle Salon, and he works as a Goldwell platform artist and educator. He began hairstyling in 1981 and early in his career was taught by artists working from Florida to Manhattan. He later opened his own salon, Basil's, in Atlanta, Georgia.
He is a multiple award-winning hairstylist and colorist. He has advised the New York State Board of Appearance Enhancement on redesigning its curriculum and test. He distributes The Hair Color Extender and The Hair Color Palette, products he created.
