Barbara Brant-Williams

Barbara Brant-Williams works in Charleston as the Grooming Guru at Your Grooming Guru. She has more than 50 years in beauty, including time as an educator and sales representative for professional hair care lines, and years as an associate and instructor in the beauty sections of natural food stores. She holds certification as a Non-toxic Haircolor Specialist and as a Certified Organic Color Specialist through Simply Organic Beauty Systems, and she is a certified trainer in the Organic Way (OWay) hair color and care systems. Her training covers what goes into hair products and what those ingredients do, the environmental factors that affect hair health, and the theory, techniques and best practices of organic hair color. She concentrates on dimensional color and natural gray coverage, and she cuts hair with scissors or a razor, including textured styles. Beyond the salon chair, she does hair and makeup for events and consults on hair and beauty products. She also teaches seminars that show clients how to read ingredient labels.
