Baely Askins

Baely Askins founded Rainbae Beauty and Hair and works as a hairstylist and makeup artist at In Full Color Salon in Edmond, Oklahoma. Makeup came first, beginning with high school theatre, and later grew into independent work on weddings, proms, graduations, parties, runways and music videos. Credits include the Oklahoma 48 Hour Film Festival, music videos for Seance of Sorrow and Like Before, and Goodwill's Walk the Runway.

With more than ten years in the beauty industry and over a decade of creative color work, hair is a large part of the practice. Hair specialties include vivids, blonding, greying, color corrections, total transformations and balayage, along with hair designs, graffiti, creative color, alternative cuts and colors, and gender affirming work. Makeup is done across natural, glam and extreme looks, and special FX, body painting and custom silicone prosthetics are part of the work. Works with clients seeking creative, fashion, film, event and bridal looks.

Training includes graduation from the Academy of Hair Design and master classes with Mimi Choi (Illusions Makeup Masterclass), The Skulltress, and Mady Kennedy (Twisted Reality Makeup Masterclass and Hair Mastery). Education continues monthly. Recognition includes two nominations for the Behind the Chair Top 100 Hair Tattoo, three nominations at the Rainbow Convention for wigs, placement and color corrections, and a first place in Hairstyling and second in Makeup Artist at the OC Awards.
