Avery Mae

Avery Mae owns Illumae Artistry and holds a Licensed Cosmetologist license and a Certified Make Up Artist certification. Her early work was as a hair stylist in salons, and she later moved to New York City to work as a makeup artist. She trained at Make Up Designory NYC and holds a degree in Multi-Media Make Up Artistry, and was invited to work as a hair stylist and makeup artist for New York Fashion Week in 2017 and 2018. Since then she has worked freelance on bridal, editorial and commercial projects, and in high-end studios and salons across Philadelphia, Montgomery County and Bucks County, over more than 18 years in the beauty industry. Philadelphia Wedding Magazine has run her work on its cover and in a spread, and Comcast Business has featured it too. She works as a bridal specialist and also takes on special event looks, color and blonde balayage, extension transformations, and creative cuts and styling. She stays up to date through classes and workshops, and tailors each look to the client's features and personal style. Clients are served at the studio and on location.
