Audrey Hemphill

Audrey Hemphill founded Kindred Color Studio, where she works as its extensions and hair loss stylist. Her practice centers on extensions, mesh integration, mesh toppers and hair loss support. Her specialties include Invisible Bead and hand-tied extensions, planning for fine hair, matching extension color and texture, and corrections, including for clients who have previously had uncomfortable extensions. She also works with clients dealing with thinning, density changes and coverage concerns. Her process starts with an evaluation of natural hair, scalp health, density, lifestyle and goals. From there she weighs scalp support, weight, tension, blend and maintenance before choosing a plan. Comfort, scalp health and long-term wear come before adding the most hair possible, so the final plan can differ from what a client first had in mind. She sees one client at a time and does not double book. Extension and hair loss appointments are generally booked several weeks ahead and begin with a pre-consultation form. Color is offered only alongside extension, mesh, topper and hair loss services, and includes glossing, blending, soft dimension, gray blending and tone adjustments. Stand-alone color appointments are not offered. She is available Tuesday through Friday, with the last weekday appointment starting at 4pm, and does not see clients on Sundays, Mondays or in the evening. Saturday openings are limited and often fill months in advance. She is best suited to clients who prioritize comfort, realistic expectations and durable results over the quickest or least costly option.
