Astrid

Astrid is the owner of Sugar High Waxing and Sugaring Studio and holds the title Master Esthetician. She began working in the beauty industry in 2014 as a front desk coordinator at an Aveda concept salon, then moved into a management role at a waxing studio. She trained at the Aveda Institute and holds an esthetics license.

Her waxing career started as a Jr. esthetician at Painless Waxing Boutique, where she later earned the Sr. and Master titles. She has worked as an esthetician in Chicago since 2017 and has been sugaring since 2020. She specializes in hair removal for full body and facial areas, and she now runs Sugar High as her own small business.

Astrid teaches sugaring certification courses in small classes or one-on-one, with hands-on guidance and support for students after they certify. The course covers sugar theory, custom paste blending, skin preparation, hand positioning and removal technique, and works through the lower leg, arm, underarm, face and bikini areas. She plans to add permanent makeup and to teach sugaring more widely.
