Arsen Gurgov

Arsen Gurgov runs Arsen Gurgov Salon in New York City, where he oversees the stylists and colourists on staff. He is a master hairstylist and has also worked as a television personality. He began as an assistant at the Louis Licari salon at 17 and spent nearly two decades there, on Fifth Avenue. He has more than 20 years of experience as a stylist. He is known for revamping dated or lifeless hair with new cuts and styling, work that has been shown in videos and TV segments, including a Today show ambush makeover series. He developed a hot scissors technique aimed at preventing split ends. His signature keratin smoothing treatment comes in options for different hair types. Clients have included Emmy Rossum, Hoda Kotb, Katie Couric, Kaity Tong, Kathie Lee Gifford, Courtney Love, Sandra Lee and Brendan Shanahan. His work has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, W, Glamour and InStyle, and he has appeared on Today, The View and Good Morning America.
