She is the founder of Arlene's Electrolysis and a Licensed Electrologist, licensed in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Her practice dates to 1981, when she opened an office in Laconia that ran until 1984. In 1995 she reopened the business as a home-based practice in Hampton, New Hampshire. She trained at the Eleanor F. Roberts Electrology School in Boston, beginning in 1981. Her bachelor's degree in communications and business is from the University of New Hampshire, completed in 1987.
