Andrew Choi, M.D., is a double board-certified facial plastic and otolaryngology-head and neck surgeon. He holds board certification from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and from the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, and lists a California Medical Board license. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and lists fellowships with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Head and Neck, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
His work centers on nasal and facial plastic surgery, with Asian eyelid surgery among his specialties. He pioneered a rhinoplasty technique for Asian patients that uses the patient's own ear cartilage, which he presented in 1990. He has also written an article on Asian eyelid surgery for Facial Plastic Times. Since founding the center he has performed more than 20,000 plastic surgery cases.
He has been featured in LA Weekly and has given interviews to the Los Angeles Times. Patients travel to see him from across the US and from countries including South Korea and China. When a patient needs body procedures, he refers them to specialists in those areas and has been personally involved in joint procedures with the surgeons he recommends, whom he describes as very qualified physicians. He can also reserve surgery time for patients who want to operate as soon as possible.
