Ana Cortes

Ana Cortes is a licensed cosmetologist and professional makeup artist with more than 20 years of experience. She trained at Paris II Cosmetology in Kansas City after high school, then worked at Trade Secrets Salon after graduating from beauty school. Her makeup career grew out of a part-time role at MAC Cosmetics, where she started as a 15-hour-a-week artist while still doing hair. She later became a full-time artist and was promoted to 3rd Key Holder. She then worked as Retail Manager in Wichita and as Store Manager at the MAC store at the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City until that store closed during the pandemic. Throughout, she worked alongside artists, trainers and mentors and traveled to MAC industry events around the country. Her credits include makeup for Mariah Carey's vocalists, Kate Pierson of the B-52's, and the Lucky Brand Fashion Show with Tim Gunn. She specializes in makeup artistry. She finds it meaningful to be part of clients' wedding days.
