Amy Strong, MD, PhD

Amy Strong, MD, PhD, is a board certified plastic surgeon at Marietta Plastic Surgery, where aesthetic work covers the face, breast and body. Her facial focus traces back to residency, when she concentrated on fat grafting to the face, facelifts, eyelid surgery and lip lifts. Previously she practiced at the Center for Plastic Surgery Ann Arbor in Michigan, performing a variety of aesthetic procedures with greater weight on facial aesthetics. She earned her MD and PhD at Tulane University School of Medicine, following earlier study at Emory University and Tufts University School of Medicine. She trained for seven years in Integrated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Michigan, and her postdoctoral research focused on fat grafting and adipose stem cells. She is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Her work includes facial rejuvenation, mommy makeovers, body contouring and cosmetic treatments for melanated skin. She served as Resident Director of the Michigan Promise Leadership Program and has taken part in the Aesthetic Surgery Education Task Force and ACAPS Education Committee. Memberships include the AMA, ACS, ASPS, ACAPS, PSRC, AAS and IFATS. She has written many peer-reviewed papers on facial rejuvenation techniques and has received an ASERF Resident Travel Scholarship, a University of Michigan Surgeon Scientist Accelerator Track Award, and a Young Investigator Award from the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research.
