Amy Hon

Amy Hon is an RN with a BSN who works as the injector at New Moon Aesthetics, where she administers wrinkle relaxer, dermal filler, microneedling and chemical peel treatments. She is a Certified Aesthetic Injector and completed cosmetic injection certification through Pacific Northwest Aesthetics Academy in 2019. She graduated with honors from CSU Chico in 2001.

She began her nursing career in labor and delivery after graduating in 2001 and worked in that field for over 16 years. She has more than seven years of experience as an injector and has been injecting since 2019. Her specialties are wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers, microneedling and chemical peels, and she performs wrinkle relaxer and dermal filler treatments.

At a first appointment she checks how the facial muscles move with and without animation, then sets a unit amount for neurotoxin based on those areas and the client's concerns. Before neurotoxin treatment she goes over medical history, medications and allergies, cleans the skin, and uses a small needle. A topical numbing cream can be offered for comfort if the client wants one, and arnica is applied afterward. Before treatment starts she checks in with a medical director. Clients describe her results as natural-looking.
