Amir Mahan Ghaznavi leads the practice, which focuses on breast and body procedures, and his work spans aesthetic and functional plastic and reconstructive surgery. His body contouring work covers post-weight-loss procedures from neck to thigh, including tummy tucks, arm lifts, thigh lifts, neck lifts, full body lifts and mommy makeovers. He also does microsurgery, including breast reconstruction, and offers breast resensation using the Resensation technique after reconstruction. He earned his MD at St. George's University School of Medicine, where he received a Dean's List honor. He completed general surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he received a Chief Resident and a Resident Achievement Award. Plastic surgery training took place at Henry Ford Hospital, where he received a Best Fellow Poster award from its research forum. He then completed a microsurgery fellowship and advanced microvascular training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, later joining its Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and developing a multispecialty lymphedema clinic there. He received a Cleveland Clinic Young Investigator Award and a Cleveland Clinic RPC Research Grant from that period. He also earned an MBA from Florida Atlantic University. He is dual board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He holds MD, MBA and FACS credentials and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Since 2012 he has authored peer-reviewed publications, articles, abstracts and book chapters, and he has presented research at national conferences. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Reconstructive Plastic Surgeons. He was named a Top Doctor by Fort Lauderdale Illustrated in 2021 and 2022 in Broward County and Fort Lauderdale, and a 2025 Top Doctor in Plastic Surgery by Northern Virginia Magazine. Before moving to Northern Virginia, he practiced in Florida.
