Amia Voorhees

Amia Voorhees is a Medical Aesthetician and Laser Specialist at the Midlothian location of Synergy Face + Body by Travis Shaw, MD, where she has been on the founding team since January 2024. Licensed as an aesthetician since 2015, she trained at Rizzieri Aveda School, where she earned an aesthetics license. She has also studied skin wellness for people with diabetes. Her advanced education came through the Institute for Laser Medicine, covering several laser systems, IPL and radiofrequency devices. She holds national certification in several advanced aesthetic treatments, and she is a certified Acne Specialist through the MBK acne detective course. She also holds NCEA certification, which the salon describes as the highest voluntary skin care credential in the United States. Her services include extractions, laser treatments and chemical peels, with a focus on acne and hyperpigmentation.
