Amber Norris Monez

Amber Norris Monez is a stylist at WildFlower Salon in downtown Davis, where her main focus is haircutting. She has taught cutting courses and previously owned the Refinery salon in Davis. During that period she arranged in-salon advanced haircutting classes for her stylists in 2021 and 2022, with Sassoon educators travelling from Beverly Hills. Her training is rooted in Sassoon: over the past 27 years she has attended advanced Sassoon courses in London, New York, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Boulder, Colorado, including a seventh Master Class at the Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica taught by Mark Hayes. She finished the last year of the Sassoon Salon Educator program, which concentrates on teaching cutting and creative cutting. Earlier, while based in New York, she studied razor cutting with Bumble and Bumble and Nick Arrojo. In late 2019 she also took an open-blade razor class run by Sally Rogerson Education in San Francisco. Clients describe her as a talented, well-trained hairdresser whose cuts hold their shape for months, and one client has been coming to her for close to 30 years.
