About
Amber Carson founded Rare Rootz Natural Hair Studio and also runs Rare Rootz Hair Care Products. She is a licensed professional cosmetologist who received her license in 2010, and she trained at Florida Career College School of Cosmetology. She is a board certified trichologist in her third year in that role.
She has over 15 years of professional experience with locs and natural hair of all textures and wave patterns. Her specialties include trendy styles on loose natural hair and on locs. She has taught at trade shows and presented her work at expos across South Florida and abroad, and her work has been published in Sophisticated Black Hair Care Magazine.
At Rare Rootz University she teaches The Truth About Hair Loss & Gut Health, drawing on her background as a cosmetologist and trichologist. She focuses on educating Black women and women in general about hair health, including how to maintain it as they age.
