Amanda Steel

Amanda Steel is a stylist at the Burnsville location of The Hair District Collective, a role held since 2014. She has worked professionally since 2002 and focuses on blondes, grey coverage and curly hair. Training started at the Aveda Institute, where she graduated in 2002. She has also taken classes from Kevin Murphy, plus Sebastian courses in texturized cutting, razor cutting and curly hair, and Wella courses in specialized color, blondes, and updo and styling. She served as a director at Spalon Montage, teaching blunt cutting, curly hair, blondes, color correction and long layering. Later she worked as an educator and master stylist for Life Time's Crosstown Life Spa, where she was one of four US educators helping lead the spa's education program. She also has experience as a master trainer for coloring and cutting. She competed in Wella Trend Vision in 2007 and 2009 and has competed in the North American Hairstyling Awards. She holds Bellami Extensions certification covering hand-tied, volume, flex and infinity wefts, plus tape-in and clip-in methods.
