Alfredo D. Fernandez

Alfredo D. Fernandez is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at the practice. He is double board-certified in dermatology and Mohs skin cancer surgery, is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, and has more than 30 years of dermatology experience. After training he joined private dermatology practices in Port Charlotte and Sarasota, Florida.

His training began with a Bachelor of Science, a medical degree and pediatric surgery residency at the University of Buenos Aires. He then completed pediatrics residency at Monmouth Medical Center, serving as chief resident in the final year, followed by dermatology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

He specializes in pediatric dermatology and is described as an expert in early skin cancer detection and diagnosis. He treats patients of all ages and offers personalized, culturally inclusive care in Sarasota and Port Charlotte. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Medical Association, the Florida State Medical Society and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
