Alexander Hicks

Alexander Hicks, MD, practices surgical dermatology at Levy Dermatology, with a focus on Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology. His undergraduate coursework at Middle Tennessee State University led to dual degrees in chemistry and biology, and he attended medical school at East Tennessee State University. According to the practice, he finished among the top of his medical school class, was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, and received the Merck Manual academic achievement award at graduation. He completed his dermatology residency at Vanderbilt University, serving as chief resident in his final year, followed by a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology fellowship at St. Louis University. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in dermatology and dermatologic surgery and has presented at local and national meetings. He belongs to the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Medical Association. He is also a senior-level consultant for Blueprint Test Prep, mentoring and teaching medical students and residents preparing for licensure and board exams.
