Alex

Alex is the owner and curl expert at The Curl Suite and a curl educator. Her career began working alongside Ouidad, where she became a head educator and took part in product development. In 2012 she opened Alex Anthony Salon, and a year later she launched the Alex Anthony Curl System, which has reached more than 200 salons.

Her Curl Puzzling technique addresses width and density and is used to cut and style all curl types. She provides intensive hands-on training with real models of every texture. In January 2018 she left Alex Anthony Salon and opened a private suite in Chelsea, New York.

Her work has included styling for Tara Subkoff, Rebecca Minkoff and Timo Weiland at New York Fashion Week, platform styling at The American Beauty Show in Chicago, Premiere Orlando and Next Level New England, and hair designs for the Broadway productions Wicked and In The Heights. Clients have included cast members from Hamilton, Avenue Q and The Book of Mormon.

Haircuts with Alex are for returning clients: a 30-minute appointment at $195 that includes a consultation, shampoo, cut and style, and excludes extensions and wigs. A men's cut with Alex is $135 for 30 minutes, including a consultation, shampoo, cut and style.
