Ake Evans, MD

Ake Evans, MD, co-founded Layna Young Med Spa, where he serves as medical director and works as an aesthetic injector. He holds board certification in obesity medicine from the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He currently splits his working time between Layna Young and Dream Spine and Wellness, a boutique interventional pain and regenerative medicine clinic. His education began with a chemistry degree from the University of Virginia, followed by a doctorate from New York Medical College. He completed a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Loma Linda University in California, then pursued further specialty training in Interventional Pain Medicine on the central coast of California. He is an alumnus of the Allergan Medical Institute, the manufacturer of Botox, and he trained as an MD Codes injector for dermal fillers, a method that covers location, layer, depth and volume. He spent nearly 15 years treating patients with orthopedic pain. At Layna Young, he brings those procedural skills together with the artistic side of aesthetic medicine. Within his obesity medicine practice, he also works with patients on weight loss.
