She founded Acupuncture Sanctuary for Women in San Diego and SEBAA Skin Co., a private natural skincare line. Her practice works within East Asian medicine with a focus on Western functional medicine. She is also a Clinical Herbalist who formulates herbal skincare, including a private line of custom natural formulations. Her education includes a Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, completed summa cum laude, followed by a research-based doctoral fellowship at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. Her advanced clinical training spans pediatrics, neurology, mental health, orthopedics, geriatrics, women's health and preventative medicine. She also studied Traditional Chinese Medicine intensively at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has completed numerous modular courses in functional medical systems, CM dermatology and natural formulation sciences. Her bachelor's degree, from the University of California, Irvine, is in Environmental Design with an emphasis in Public Health and Epidemiology, and she maintains registration as an Environmental Health Specialist in California. She also completed internships at Rady Children's Hospital, the San Diego Cancer Center and the Recreation Intramural and Athletics Complex at UC San Diego, and served as a docent at the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory at UC Irvine. She is an adjunct faculty member in Preventative Medicine and Public Health in the doctorate program at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. A VoyageLA interview featured her as a Rising Star in Southern California, and five of her herbal skincare DIY masks appeared in the 2019 edition of Herbal Remedies Magazine. The 2019 edition of The Mindfulness Journal also interviewed her about emotions and wellness from a Traditional Chinese medicine perspective. Patients describe her as knowledgeable in both Eastern and Western medicine, and describe her working alongside Western doctors and referring to specialists. Each patient is seen one-on-one, with attention to body language, pulse and voice.
