Aaron Kosins MD

Aaron Kosins MD is a board-certified plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, practicing in Newport Beach. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UC Irvine and has hospital affiliations with UC Irvine Medical Center, Hoag Hospital and Newport Beach Surgery Center. He graduated from the University of Southern California and UC Irvine, and earned an MD and an MBA in entrepreneurship from the UC Irvine School of Medicine and the Paul Merage School of Business. Before medical training he worked in finance with biotechnology companies for several years.

He completed an integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery program at UC Irvine Medical Center. Much of his rhinoplasty training and early experience took place at Long Beach Veterans Hospital. Early career included many rhinoplasties for patients with prior facial trauma or breathing problems from earlier nose surgery. He is a member of The Rhinoplasty Society and edits the rhinoplasty section of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. He has published in several plastic surgery journals, presents at national and regional meetings, and speaks internationally. A 2014 presentation on the plunging tip won CSPS paper of the year.

His focus is rhinoplasty, primary and secondary, along with breast surgery, body procedures and facial aging. He personally performs all of the practice's Botox and filler injections and developed a Piezo method for rhinoplasty. Before surgery he examines the septum, turbinates and valves inside and out, observes breathing at rest and on forced inspiration, and builds a full operative plan that is confirmed at a final pre-operative visit. He also staffs Dr. Obagi's skin care clinic in Laguna Beach each week and follows his patients and their results indefinitely.
